Welcome to my website!

Hi, my name is Sebastian Son, and I'm a singer-songwriter, book-writer, lyric-writer (and just plain-old writer) hailing from Fort Lee, New Jersey.

This site is a collection of many things: my latest publications, solo projects (check out my album, A Summer in Quarantine, on all streaming platforms), my latest musical theater projects (I wrote a musical called Reasons to Leave), and also my personal blog, where you can follow along with whatever I'm working on at the moment (I've just moved to LA).

Why make a website?

How else do you tell people that you make beats, write stories, and sing songs?

I've always felt like I've got too many projects to keep track of, so I don't expect anyone else to follow along. But, with a website, maybe things will start making sense, and I can give people a better idea of what I do.

Cataloging a Journey

Besides showcasing my work, I want to nerd out over stuff, like what makes a song good, or how to belt a high Bb. I think about these things constantly, and it's nice to have a place to put those thoughts into words.

I'm planning on doing a bunch of song breakdowns, as well as mix breakdowns, for those of you interested in music production. I'm completely self-taught, so I've got a lot of wisdom that comes with repeated mistakes. And, if you like my music, here's a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at how I write.
