About
Knocking softly at the door in the night and tip-toeing around the world, that's how acoustic pop singer-songwriter Sebastian Son drops bombs of lyrical and heartfelt poetry, spanning the boundary between lovably charming and devastatingly sad. A child of Korean immigrants living in Northern New Jersey, Sebastian grew up singing in church and listening to Billy Joel and soft rock on 106.7 Lite FM (iykyk). In college, he began playing at open mics around the Massachusetts Pioneer Valley, where he earned local acclaim. From his dorm room in his senior year he released "A Summer in Quarantine", his debut independent album. Since then, Sebastian has moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he takes classes at the Musician's Institute and works on new material. A singer, a producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Sebastian writes songs about love and melancholy, yearning and loneliness, in an attempt to make music that strikes at the deepest hearts of his fans. "We find the best parts of our humanity when we open up in front of others."
